Leadership

New Horizons Behavioral Health is a public corporation created in state law (O.C.G 37-2-6) to provide services to persons with mental illness, developmental disabilities and/or addictive diseases.  The service area is Chattahoochee, Clay, Harris, Muscogee, Quitman, Randolph, Stewart and Talbot Counties in west central Georgia.  

The Governing Board is comprised of members with governing authority appointed from each county in the service area.  The bylaws of the Governing Board delegate authority to the Executive Director to manage the day-to-day activities and operations of the agency.  

The Governing Board meets on the second Monday of the month at 3:00 in the afternoon in Conference Room B, Health and Human Service Building, 2100 Comer Avenue, Columbus, GA.   Please see the "Calendar of Events" for information concerning Governing Board meetings.  Meetings of the Governing Board are open to the public, however if you wish to be placed on the agenda, please contact Molly Jones, Executive Administrative Assistant at  706-596-5588 for availability.

Executive Leadership of the organization is comprised of the Executive Director, Medical Director, Clinical Director and Chief Financial Officer.

The Chief Executive Officer is assisted in managing the day-to-day activities and operations of the agency by the Senior Executive Committee.  The Senior Executive Committee meets twice monthly.
