Thank You, Veterans

Each November New Horizons Behavioral Health spotlights the mental health needs of our Veterans.

National Veterans and Military Families Month is a month‑long U.S. observance held every November to honor the service, sacrifices, and resilience of veterans, active‑duty service members, and their families. The month highlights the essential role families play in supporting military members through deployments, relocations, and transitions to civilian life. The observance complements Veterans Day (November 11) and expands recognition to include families, caregivers, and survivors

Stress from deployments, frequent moves, combat exposure, and physical injuries can all take a toll on mental health. Many veterans face challenges with post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, and substance use disorders. These challenges are complex but common, and help is available.

Please join us this November honoring our Veterans, acknowledging their Service, and making sure their health and housing needs are met.
